Today we discussed ways to end our opening to our horror film and we came up with a few ideas..

After discussing each opening, we came to a decision that we were going to have the ending where somebody walks into Chloe's house and the opening ends on the mans hand on her bedroom door.

We continued to edit our filming and now our footage is coming together nicely. After learning how to add the credits onto our footage we began adding more credits over the top of our footage. On our opening we now have credits for the distribution and production companies, the casting, the screenplay, music, costume desgin and executive producers.

Today we discussed that we also needed to start thinking about adding our credits onto our footage so we wrote a list of the credits we needed to include on our opening. We came up with; The production companies, actors and actresses, executive producers, casting, screenplay, music by, costume design, director and finally the name of the film.

After doing this list, we managed to add the production companies at the start of the film. One before our establishing shot and one after, for the first 3 credits we decided to have them on a black background in white text.

Today we went onto BBC iPlayer and then onto Radio 1 and began to listen to the breakfast show. We opened up garageband and started to record around 10 minutes of the breakfast show. It was extremly lucky and convienient that when we listened back to the recording of the breakfast show and noticed that it mentioned the time we had recorded on a clock in our footage and also we noticed that a student had sent a text into the radio show saying that they were only just coming home after a wicked night out.

We then began to edit our footage by added a variety of clips to see which ones fitted together and which didnt. Today we managed to add an establishing shot of the street, the clock, our actres, Chloe, walking up the street and into the door. We remembered to add a variety of different camera angles to make it more interesting.

As a group we decided that the recording of Radio 1's breakfast show would be brilliant for our footage and we chose to add this onto final cut exress to use as the backgroud music of our establishing shot of street and the clock.

Today during 1st period today we went out to do some more filming, however this time Mr Henton came with us and helped us to film as he had a few ideas for us that would make our footage look better.

When we returned we uploaded the footage we have just taken and managed to pload a further 4 minutes and 11 seconds.

As we had more free time after uploading the footage, we went onto a website called 'freesound.org' suggested by Mr Henton, this website is designed for people that want sound effects or music. We visited this website and browsed through searching for various music pieces and sound effects.

We managed to find 4 relevant sound effects and music, these were called; Urban Morning Noise, Spooky Ambience With Heartbeat, Bang Bang and Text Message. By downloading these sounds we are now able to put them into final cut express and use them in our opening to our horror film.

Today we uploaded our footage that we filmed the day before onto the Macs and managed to get around 6 minutes 46 seconds from 56 clips. The filming we uploaded was checked and Mr Henton said that we had alot better footage than before.

However from looking at the footage we uploaded we realised that we needed to get a few more shots that we had forgotten so we went back to Taylor's after school and filmed the last few bits.

My group and I got permission to leave school at 2pm today and went back to Taylor's to do some more filming. We were able to get lots more shots with a wider range of angles and shots, we managed to get some filming done outside too as it was very quiet on the street and no one got in our way.

During todays lesson, we had to show our footage that we had recorded to Mr Henton. He told us that we had enough footage but alot of it was of the same angles and we didnt have enough variety. Therefore we knew that we needed to get some more footage making sure that we got each clip from a variety of angles.
